Walk-in Combo

Our walk-in ComboCustom Built For Any Industry.

A cooler/freezer combo includes both a cooler and a freezer but shares a common wall to save money and space.  They can be built with both doors opening to the exterior or with the freezer opening into the cooler which we recommend as the air temp entering the freezer will be 35F as compared to warmer temps if it opens to the exterior.  We build walk-in freezers for a variety of applications including: restaurants; convenience stores, grocery stores and food storage facilities.  Walls are typically 4” thick with an insulated floor in the freezer section only.    They are paired with both low and medium-temp condensing units along with air & electric defrost evaporator coils to maintain appropriate temps within each room of the walk-in.  Our experienced sales staff will ensure the correct combo is built to meet your cold storage needs.

CFC free urethane insulation shall have 97% closed cell structure.  Class 1 rated urethane foam to have thermal conductivity (K-Factor) of not less than .120 BTU/hr per degree F/ inch and overall heat transfer coefficient (U-Factor) of not more than .030 BTU/hr sq ft.  All foam panels to be supplied with Class 1 fire hazard insulation certified by Underwriters Laboratories as having a flame spread of 25 or less and smoke generation of 450 or less when tested in accordance with ASTM-E-84.

Panel Locking System

Assembly of walk-ins shall be accomplished by cam-locking fasteners which shall be foamed-in-place and activated by a hex wrench provided by the factory.  Access ports shall be on the interior of panels to allow assembly of walk-ins from inside and shall be covered with snap caps.
